RonReaco Lee (born August 27, 1977)[2] is an Americantelevision andfilmactor best known for his roles as Tyreke Scott on theABC/The WB sitcomSister, Sister, and as Jamal Woodson on theBET romantic comedyLet's Stay Together. From 2014 to 2017, he starred as Reggie Vaughn in theLeBron James-executive producedStarz seriesSurvivor's Remorse.

Lee was born inDecatur, Illinois, and moved toAtlanta, Georgia at age 9.[1] He began his acting career in 1983 as the host of the short-lived television showKid's Beat.[1] His early work consisted of relatively minor roles in films and television, but after being cast as a mute drummer in the 1989 filmGlory,[3] his career blossomed.[4]

By the early 1990s, Lee began receiving many guest-starring roles in television shows suchIn the Heat of the Night. In 1997, he guest-starred in413 Hope St. andHome Improvement. From 1997 to 1999, RonReaco played the part of the mechanic Tyreke "Ty" Scott in the television seriesSister, Sister.[5] On the series, Tyreke was the boyfriend ofTia Landry.[1] At the conclusion of his role as Tyreke, Lee guest-starred on theUPN sitcomMoesha as Tate in the episode "Let's Talk About Sex."[6] In late 2000, RonReaco continued his long string of guest-starring roles on theNBC medical dramaER playing the character of Davis.

In 2002, he guest-starred inBoston Public. Lee was seen in the short livedWB sitcomAll About the Andersons and in theFX hit showThe Shield, as well as the award-winning TV seriesMonk. In 2005, he received a recurring role as wheelchair user Todd, in NBC's short-lived comedyCommitted.[7] Lee recurred as Chris onCW's sitcomGirlfriends.[1] He appeared frequently as David on the CBS sitcomWorst Week[1] and played the role of Jason, Emily's husband, on short-lived seriesIn the Motherhood.[8]

Lee recurred as Julius Grant on the Fox showThe Good Guys,[9] and portrayed Jamal in theBET comedyLet's Stay Together from 2011 to 2014.[10][11] He starred inBurn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe, a spin-off movie based on the television seriesBurn Notice. Lee starred as Reggie Vaughn, Cam Calloway's cousin and manager,[12] in the Starz original comedySurvivor's Remorse produced LeBron James.[13] For his work on the series, Lee received twoNAACP Image Award nominations forOutstanding Actor in a Comedy Series in 2016[14] and 2018.[15] He portrayed Gary, an unfaithful teacher cheating on his wife, inFirst Wives Club.[16] Lee recurred onQueens as the husband ofEve's character.[17]

Film

Having made his film debut inGlory, Lee next played Omar inThe Return of Swamp Thing (1989).[18] He appeared as Chester Sayers in television filmParis Trout (1991).[19]

He also took on a major role as Perry in the filmHow I Spent My Summer Vacation.[20][21] In 2001, he appeared in the filmFire & Ice as co-star to Robert Aimes, Jr. That same year, he acted in the independent filmJacked Up alongsideAnna Maria Horsford andBone Thugs-N-Harmony rapperBizzy Bone. Lee portrayed Ben inKiller Diller (2004).[22]

Lee co-starred as Reggie inGuess Who (2005) withBernie Mac andAshton Kutcher.[23] Lee played the character of Blaine in the WB comedyAmericanizing Shelley (2007). He portrayed Chuck, a lawyer, in the 2009 Tyler Perry filmMadea Goes to Jail.[1] In 2020, Lee appeared as a drug dealer inCoffee & Kareem.[24]

In 2022, he played Miles in a play aboutHIV/AIDS calledWhat You Don't Know Can Kill You.

Lee co-starred in theNetflix thrillerMea Culpa that was released on February 23, 2024. The film is written and directed byTyler Perry and starsKelly Rowland.
