TheRomanian Socialist Democratic Party (Romanian:Partidul Socialist Democratic Român, PSoDR) was a political party inRomania. During its short existence it was easily mistaken forRomanian Social Democratic Party.

History

Established byMarius Cîrciumaru in January 1990,[3] the PSDR contested the1990 general elections, receiving around 1.1% of the vote in both theChamber andSenate elections. Although it failed to win a seat in the Senate, the party won five seats in the Chamber.[5] The1992 elections saw its vote share fall to 0.9%, resulting in it losing all five seats.[6]

The party was dissolved in 1993 when it merged into theParty of Social Democracy.[7]
