Roland Teymurazovich Gigolayev (Russian:Роланд Теймуразович Гиголаев; born 4 January 1990) is a former professionalfootballer who played as amidfielder ordefender. Born in Georgia, he has represented Russia at youth level.
Gigolayev made his professional debut forAlania Vladikavkaz on 4 April 2011, in aRussian First Division game againstTorpedo Vladimir and scored 2 goals on his debut.[1]
In the 2014–2015 season he played withRuch Chorzów in elimination fromUEFA Europa League. His team was out this elimination after matches withMetalist Kharkiv (0–0 in Gliwice and 0–1 in Kyiv).
On 17 February 2016, Gigolayev returned to Russia, signing withAmkar Perm.[2]
On 31 August 2017, he signed a three-year contract withAkhmat Grozny.[3] After appearing only once for Akhmat in the 2017–18 season, on 23 July 2018 Gigolayev joinedAnzhi Makhachkala on a season-long loan.[4]
