Roland Ducke (19 November 1934 – 26 June 2005) was a German professionalfootball player. His younger brotherPeter was also a successful footballer.[1]
Ducke played almost whole his career forFC Carl Zeiss Jena.[2][3]
On the national level he played forEast Germany national team, Ducke played for this side from 1958 to 1967.[4]
In 1970, he won the award for theGDR Footballer of the Year.
Ducke died on 26 June 2005 ofprostate cancer.[citation needed]
