Roger Douglas King (born 26 October 1943) is an EnglishConservative Party politician who served as amember of parliament from 1983 to 1992.
King first stood forParliament atCannock in the1974 General Election, but he was beaten byLabour'sGwilym Roberts.
He was elected forBirmingham Northfield in the1983 election, reversing aby-election loss to Labour the previous year. From 9 June 1983 to 15 May 1987, he served on theTransport Select Committee.[1]
He served until the1992 election when he himself lost the seat to Labour'sRichard Burden.
