Rogen (Swedish andNorwegian)[2] orRovje (Southern Sami) is alake on the border ofSweden andNorway. The lake is mostly located inHärjedalen Municipality inJämtland county in Sweden with a small portion crossing the Norwegian border intoRøros Municipality (inTrøndelag county) andEngerdal Municipality (inInnlandet county). The 35.12-square-kilometre (13.56 sq mi) lake is the source of Sweden's longest river,Klarälven.[3]
On the Swedish side of the border,Rogen Nature Reserve is centred around the lake. InNorway, Rogen lies insideFemundsmarka National Park in Røros and Engerdal. The lakesNedre Roasten andFemunden lie just to the west of Rogen.
