Robinson is acensus-designated place[3] located inWest Wheatfield Township,Indiana County in the state ofPennsylvania, United States. The community is located near theWestmoreland County line and the borough ofBolivar, alongPennsylvania Route 259. As of the2010 census, the population was 614 residents.[4]
Founded in 1880, Robinson was originally named Garfield after therecently elected president. It has its origins as abrickyard town, with the Garfield Fire Clay Company operating refractories there and in neighboringBolivar from 1887 until 1979.[5]
