Robin Till Nils Johannes Wagener (born 16 August 1980) is a German judge and politician[1] of theAlliance 90/The Greens[1][2] who has been a member of theBundestag in the2021 German federal election, representing theLippe I district.[3]
In addition to his parliamentary mandate, Wagener has been serving as the Coordinator for Intersocietal Cooperation with the Southern Caucasus, the Republic of Moldova and Central Asia at theFederal Foreign Office since 2023.[4]
In parliament, Wagener has been serving on the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on European Affairs.[5] In this capacity, he is also his parliamentary group’srapporteur onRussia andUkraine.[6]
In addition to his committee assignments, Wagener has been chairing the German delegation to theParliamentary Assembly of theOrganization for Security and Co-operation in Europe since 2022.[7] He is also the chairman of the German-Ukrainian Parliamentary Friendship Group.[8]
In the negotiations to form acoalition government of theChristian Democratic Union (CDU) and the Green Party underMinister-President of North Rhine-WestphaliaHendrik Wüst following the2022 state elections, Wagener andVerena Schäffer led their party’s delegation in the working group on internal and legal affairs;[9] their counterparts from the CDU wereHerbert Reul andPeter Biesenbach.[10]
Wagener is married and has two children. The family lives inBad Salzuflen.[12]
