Roberto Tagliavini, born 1976 inParma, is an Italian operaticbass.
Roberto Tagliavini studied singing with Romano Franceschetto, baritone.[1] He appeared first of all in Italian opera houses includingTeatro Regio, Parma andTeatro Comunale Bologna among others.[2] He has subsequently appeared in many of the world's leading opera houses includingLa Scala, Milan, theDeutsche Oper Berlin, theParis Opéra and many others.[3] He made his debut at theMetropolitan Opera House, New York, as Colline inLa Boheme in 2016.[4] In 2017 he appeared at theSalzburg Festival as Loredano inVerdi'sI due Foscari.[5] Tagliavini won acclaim for his "beautiful singing" as Raimondo inDonizetti'sLucia di Lammermoor at theTeatro Real Madrid in 2018.[6][7] He sings a wide repertory of bass parts including roles byMozart,Rossini, Verdi, and others in staged operas as well as contributing to numerous concert performances.[1]
