Roberto García Casabella (born 9 January 1987) is a Spanishfootballer who last played as adefensive midfielder forVillarrubia CF.[1]

Career

He began his career in theReal Madrid youth team, before moving toAtlético Madrid where he played for the B and C teams.

Between 2006 and 2012, he played in theSegunda División B forAtlético Madrid B,San Fernando,Puertollano,Lorca Atlético,Almeria B (loan) andConquense.

In the summer of 2012 he joinedMoldovan National Division sideMilsami Orhei, playing in theMoldovan Super Cup final win overSheriff Tiraspol, as well as 90 minutes of the 4-2UEFA Europa League home win overAktobe,[2] and the subsequent away leg 0–3 defeat that eliminated the Moldovan side 4–5 on aggregate.[3]

In July 2013, he was on trial atBarnet in theConference Premier, with compatriotLuisma Villa.[4] Both players had their signings confirmed on 3 August 2013.[5] Casabella played frequently at the start of the season, but struggled with injuries from October onwards. After 12 appearances in all competitions, all but one in the league, he was released on 14 April 2014.[6]

After leaving the Bees, Casabella joinedThunder Bay Chill of theUSL Premier Development League.[7] In August 2014, he re-joinedSan Fernando.[8]

In June 2015, Casabella signed forArmenian Premier League sideFC Ararat Yerevan.[9] Less than a month later, without playing a game for Ararat Yerevan, Casabella moved back to Spain, signing forRayo Cantabria.[10]
