Robert Ssejjemba (born 5 December 1980) is a retiredUgandan professional soccer player and the current coach of theWayland Baptist University men's soccer program.

Career

Late in the 2006Major League Soccer season he made one start forD.C. United, but was not signed to a professional contract by them. He then played the 2007 season with theRichmond Kickers before moving to theCharlotte Eagles for the 2008 season. In the 2008USL Second Division final with the Eagles, however, anACL injury ended Ssejjemba's playing career.[1] He also made several appearances for theUgandan national team, includingqualifiers for the2006 World Cup.[2]

In 2009, he became the head coach of the revived men's soccer program atVirginia Intermont College, his alma mater.[2] After the college closed permanently, he became the head coach for theUniversity of the Southwest men's team from 2014 until 2019.[3] In 2019, he became the head coach ofWayland Baptist University.[4]
