Robert Loren Fleming (born November 5, 1956)[ 1] is an American comic book writer. He is best known as the co-creator ofThriller withTrevor Von Eeden and for his collaborations withKeith Giffen .
Robert Loren Fleming worked for DC Comics initially as aproofreader and later as a writer. His first published comics story was "String-Out" inHouse of Mystery #316 (May 1983).[ 2] He and artistTrevor Von Eeden createdThriller in 1983.[ 3] [ 4] Fleming left the series as of its seventh issue due to difficulties with DC Comics' management.[ 5]
He frequently worked withKeith Giffen . They produced twoAmbush Bug limited series in 1985 and 1986[ 2] and anAquaman one-shot special and a limited series in 1989.[ 6] In 1991, Fleming and Giffen collaborated withPat Broderick on aRagman limited series.[ 7] The following year, the Fleming/Giffen team produced theEclipso: The Darkness Within miniseries with artistBart Sears .[ 8] The duo reunited for 2008'sAmbush Bug: Year None .[ 2]
Fleming has worked in the animation field as well. He wrote forThe Real Ghostbusters series produced byDIC Entertainment in 1986.[ 9]
