Rob Summers (born June 6, 1984) is an Americanbasketball coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of theCleveland State Vikings men's basketball team.

Career

Summers playedcollege basketball atPenn State andWest Virginia. He played professionally overseas before beginning his coaching career. His first coaching job was as an associate head coach atGlenville State, before serving as the director of basketball operations for a season atJames Madison. In 2014, Summers was named the head coach atUrbana.[1] After three seasons serving as Urbana's head coach, he returned to James Madison as an assistant coach.[2] Summers served as an assistant coach for two seasons at James Madison and three seasons at Cleveland State, before becoming the associate head coach forMiami.[3] He spent two seasons at Miami before leaving for an assistant role atMissouri.[4]

On April 9, 2025, Summers was named the next head coach at Cleveland State, replacingDaniyal Robinson.[5][6]
