Rivers in India

Rispana River (alsoRispana Rao) is a tributary of theSong River that drains centralDehradun in Uttarakhand, India. It emerges from a small spring at the base ofMussoorie ridge near Rajpur village.[1] Currently, the Rispana is contaminated as many of the city's sewage lines empty into the river and it has been encroached upon in many places.[2][3] In 2018, a plan was initiated by a consortium of agencies of theGovernment of Uttarakhand to revive the Rispana andBindal rivers.[3][4]
