Rights and Freedom (Diritti e Libertà, DL) was anItalian political party. It was founded on 22 November 2012 by a splinter group fromItaly of Values (IdV). The party's spokesperson wasMassimo Donadi, IdV floor leader in theChamber of Deputies from 2006 to 2012.[1][2]

DL included four deputies (Massimo Donadi,Nello Formisano,Giovanni Paladini andGaetano Porcino) and one senator (Stefano Pedica), all former members of IdV.

The party took inspiration from the lateAction Party (Pd'A) and, following its foundation, aimed at being part of the centre-left coalitionItaly. Common Good.[1] DL was consequently a founding member ofDemocratic Centre (CD), the centrist component of Italy. Common Good in December 2012.[3][4] DL also had close ties with the editorial committee ofReformist Moderates, aliberal andsocial-democratic movement-newspaper directed byGiorgio Benvenuto (a former secretary of theItalian Socialist Party) and, consequently, with theModerates ofGiacomo Portas (an independent deputy of theDemocratic Party).[5] The party was absorbed into CD sometime in 2013.
