Reynaldo Parks Pérez (born December 4, 1974) is a Costa Rican formerfootballdefender.
He has played on different teams in Costa Rica, Mexico, andGuatemala. He started out in Costa Rica with his hometown teamLimonense, and was later transferred toHerediano. Then he went on to play alongside compatriotFernando Patterson withMunicipal in Guatemala[2] andJaguares de Colima andTecos UAG in Mexico,[3][4] before coming back to Costa Rica to play for Saprissa[5] andUniversidad.[6]
Parks was part of the team that played the2005 FIFA Club World Championship, whereSaprissa finished third behindSão Paulo andLiverpool.[7]
In 2008, he moved toSan Carlos[8] and retired in November 2009.[9]
Parks made his debut forCosta Rica in a February 1993UNCAF Nations Cup qualification match againstNicaragua and earned a total of 43 caps, scoring 1 goal.[10] He represented his country in 15FIFA World Cup qualification matches[7] and played at the1995[11] and1999 UNCAF Nations Cups[12] as well as at the1993[13] and2002 CONCACAF Gold Cups[14] and the2001 Copa América.[15] Parks was a key member of the national team that qualified for the2002 FIFA World Cup, serving as the captain. But just before the event started, a knee injury kept him away from participating[16] and he was replaced byPablo Chinchilla.[17]
His final international was an October 2003friendly match againstSouth Africa.

After retiring, Parks became chairman of the National Costa Rica Football Players Association but resigned from his post after 7 years in January 2014.[18]
Parks was married to Irma Loaiciga Martinez, and they had three sons: Launy, Rey Jr, and Alanie Raquel Parks Loaiciga.[19] His cousinWinston Parks[20] also played for the Costa Rica national team.
