René Shaki Joensen (born 8 February 1993) is a Faroese internationalfootballer who plays as amidfielder forKÍ.
Joensen started his professional career withBrøndby in Denmark.[1][2] He did not appear in any matches for his team since hisDanish Superliga debut in the 2011–12 season. In January 2014, he returned to the Faroe Islands to play forHB Tórshavn.
On 6 December 2021, Joensen signed a one-year contract withKÍ, starting 1 January 2022.[3]
He played youth football for the Faroe Islands,[4][5] before making his senior international debut in 2012.[2]
His father is from Israel. Joensen works as an electrician[6][7]
