Reliance is aghost town inBrazos County, in theU.S. state ofTexas.[1] It is located within theBryan-College Station metropolitan area.
Reliance was located three miles east ofU.S. Highway 190 onFarm to Market Road 1179, 9 mi (14 km) north ofBryan in northeastern Brazos County.[2]
In the 1905–1906 school year, Reliance had a school with 91 students and two teachers, who also taught in nearbyIndependence. It continued to operate as of 1948.[2] Today, Reliance is located within theBryan Independent School District.
