Raymond V. Ingersoll (1875–1940) wasborough president ofBrooklyn from 1934 to 1940,[1] and Brooklyn Parks Commissioner from 1914 to 1917.[2] Ingersoll Hall, one of the first buildings on theBrooklyn College campus, was named for him.
TheWorld War IILiberty ShipSS Raymond V. Ingersoll was named in his honor.
Ingersoll is buried in the FriendsQuaker Cemetery,[3][4]Prospect Park (Brooklyn).
