Rastede (German pronunciation:[ʁaˈsteːdə,-ˈʃteː-];Low German:Raastäe/Raas) is a municipality in theAmmerland district, inLower Saxony,Germany. It is situated approximately 12 km north ofOldenburg. It is the site of theSchloss Rastede.

TheRastede railway station is located at theOldenburg–Wilhelmshaven railway.
