Raqqa District (Arabic:منطقة مركز الرقة,romanized: Manṭiqat ar-Raqqah) is adistrict of theRaqqa Governorate in northernSyria. Theadministrative centre is the city ofRaqqa. At the 2004 census, the district had a population of 503,960.[1]
