Life and career

Merrill attendedJamestown Community College before graduating fromState University of New York at Fredonia with a degree in Sound Recording Technology.[4] He then became a mastering engineer atMasterdisk in 2008 before moving to Sterling Sound in 2013.[5] At Sterling, Merrill worked alongsideTom Coyne winning four Grammys, including wins forAdele's25, andMark Ronson's "Uptown Funk".[6] Merrill's mastering work would go on to win Grammys independently forBeck'sColors,Ariana Grande'sSweetener,Lady Gaga's "Shallow", andCage the Elephant'sSocial Cues.[3]

Merrill currently works out of Sterling Sound in Edgewater, New Jersey.
