Ralph Skinner was a sixteenth centuryClergyman and member of parliament.[1]
Skinner was educated atWinchester andNew College, Oxford. Successively he sat as anMP forLeicester,Penryn,Bossiney andWestbury.[2] As well as his representative duties he wasLay rector ofBroughton Astley from 1550 to 1553;Pro-warden ofNew College, Oxford, from 1551 to 1553;Warden ofSherburn Hospital from 1559;Commissioner to enforceActs of Uniformity andSupremacy for theProvince of York from 1560;Chancellor,Receiver General andDean of thePalatinate of Durham from 1561;[3] andRector ofSedgefield (where he was buried) from 1562.
