Ralph Philip Martin (4 August 1925 – 25 February 2013[1]) was a BritishNew Testament scholar.

Martin was born inAnfield, Liverpool, England and was educated at theLiverpool Collegiate School, theUniversity of Manchester andKing's College London.[2] He taught at theLondon Bible College, theUniversity of Manchester, theUniversity of Sheffield,Azusa Pacific University, andFuller Theological Seminary.

Martin wrote commentaries onMark,Romans,Philippians, andJames. In 1992, aFestschrift was published in his honour,Worship, Theology and Ministry in the Early Church: Essays in Honor of Ralph P. Martin, which included contributions fromJames Dunn,E. Earle Ellis,Donald Guthrie,I. Howard Marshall, andLeon Morris.
