Rainer Rothfuß (born 19 April 1971) is a German politician of theAlternative for Germany (AfD) who has been serving as amember of the Bundestag forBavaria since 2023.
Rothfuß was born in the West German town ofFreudenstadt and studiedgeography inTübingen andStuttgart.[1] He joined theChristian Social Union in 2004 and was active on a regional level. Rothfuß joined theAlternative for Germany in 2018.[2]
In the2021 German federal election, he contestedOberallgäu but came in sixth place. He joined the Bundestag in 2023 following the death ofCorinna Miazga.[3]
