Raghuvir Sharan Mitra (1919–1996) was an Indian poet, novelist and essayist ofHindi literature.[1][2] He is the author of poem anthologies such asJeevan ke Panne,[3]Bhāratodaya[2] andSindhu Sarovara,[4] novels likeRakt Surya[5] andAag aur Paani, and essays such asKāi aura Kamala[6] andBhūmijā.[7]

Awards

TheGovernment of India awarded him the fourth highest Indian civilian honour ofPadma Shri in 1983.[8]
