Radio Noon is the name ofCBC Radio One'sregional noon-hour programs in theCanadian provinces ofManitoba,Quebec andNewfoundland and Labrador. It was formerly the name of all of the network's noon programs, regardless of location, although many of the programs have since adopted new names such asMaritime Noon,BC Almanac andOntario Today.
Each province has its ownRadio Noon program, which is produced by the network's primary station in the province but airs provincewide. All of the programs follow roughly the same format, with interviews for the first half-hour followed by a half-hourphone-in segment.
Radio Noon in Manitoba is produced at the studios ofCBW inWinnipeg, and is hosted by Marjorie Dowhos.[1]
Produced at the studios ofCBN inSt. John's, the Newfoundland and Labrador edition (calledCross Talk) is hosted by Adam Walsh.[2]
CBME-FM inMontreal produces the Quebec edition ofRadio Noon. Formerly hosted byAnne Lagacé Dowson (who took a leave from the network to run as a candidate in theWestmount—Ville-Marie by-election), and later by veteran broadcasterBernard St-Laurent (who retired in 2015), the program's current host is Shawn Apel.[3]
