Rachel Holly Priest (born 13 June 1985 inNew Plymouth,Taranaki) is aNew Zealand cricketer who plays as awicket-keeper and right-handedbatter. She played forNew Zealand between 2007 and 2020.

Career

Domestic and franchise

In May 2018, she was signed by theWales women's national cricket team, their first overseas signing.[1] In November 2018, she was named inSydney Thunder's squad for the2018–19 Women's Big Bash League season.[2][3] In January 2020, she was named in New Zealand's squad for the2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in Australia.[4] She also played for theWellington Blaze in theState League.

In June 2020, Priest joined theTasmanian Tigers in Australia'sWomen's National Cricket League.[5]

She was drafted byTrent Rockets for the inaugural season of The Hundred.[6]

International

She made her ODI debut in 2007 againstAustralia. Priest played in 87 ODIs and 75 T20Is forNew Zealand before retiring from international cricket in 2020. Priest holds the record for the highest individual score by a better in a Women's ODI innings as wicketkeeper (157) and is the only wicketkeeper in Women's ODI history to score 150 in an innings.[7] In June 2020, Priest announced her retirement from international cricket.[8][9]
