Ramappa Balappa Timmapur is an Indian politician fromKarnataka. He is currently serving as Cabinet Minister inGovernment of Karnataka & as a member ofKarnataka Legislative Assembly representingMudhol. He is a former member ofKarnataka Legislative Council. He is a leader of theIndian National Congress.

Political career

On 10 June 2016, he was elected to theKarnataka Legislative Council. He secured 33 votes ofINC MLAs.[1][2]

He served as the Cabinet Minister of Sugar, Ports and Inland transport inGovernment of Karnataka headed by Chief MinisterH. D. Kumaraswamy.

He is the Minister of Excise inSecond Siddaramaiah ministry and held the same post in the past from 2016 till 2018 inFirst Siddaramaiah ministry.[3]
