Qurchi, alsoKypim,[1] is a major town inBilchiragh District in theFaryab Province, in northernAfghanistan.[2] It lies west ofNegala. The town has a significantUzbek population.[1]

History

The town was occupied byMaimana officers in 1888.[3]

Norwegian soldiers were attacked in Qurchi in July 2010.
