Ayva tatlısı is a dessert fromTurkish cuisine that is made withquince. Thequince is cooked by boiling in water or in the oven withcloves, sweetsyrup and filled with apple or quince meal,raisins and topped withkaymak,orice cream.[1] It is often served as halves, with the inside slightly carved out. The dish is eaten warm and cold throughoutTurkey, particularly duringwintertime.[2]
