The album was nominated to theGrammy Award forBest Latin Pop Album in1990, but lost toJosé Feliciano's ¿Por Qué Te Tengo Que Olvidar? (Why do I have to forget you?).[2] The album was awarded "Pop Album of the Year" at the 1991Lo Nuestro awards.[3] The album reached number one in theBillboard Latin Pop Albums staying in the chart for 48 weeks.[4]
