Queso ice cream, also calledkeso ice cream orcheese ice cream, is aFilipino ice cream flavor prepared usingcheddar cheese. It is one of the most common ice cream flavors of the traditionalsorbetes ice cream (usually dyed bright yellow), and is commonly served with scoops ofube,vanilla, andchocolate ice cream in one cone.[1][2][3][4][5] The classic dessert has a salty-sweet, tangy and savory flavor which blends sweet cream and orange bits of cheese.[6]
It is also commonly eaten as anice cream sandwich withpandesal bread rolls,[3][7] or made with corn kernels (a popular dessert pairing in the Philippines calledmais con queso).[8]
