TheShadi dialect (Chinese:沙地话;pinyin:Shādìhuà; Native name: 沙地話) is aWu Chinese dialect spoken inChongming,Haimen, andQidong districts as well as in some areas ofZhangjiagang.[1] It is considered to be a variety ofTaihu Wu, which is intelligible withShanghainese.
