InGreek mythology,Pylaemenes (Ancient Greek: Πυλαιμένης) may refer to two distinct characters:

• Pylaemenes, king of theEneti tribe ofPaphlagonia. He claimed to be related toPriam throughPhineus (also a reputed king of Paphlagonia) as the latter's daughterOlizone was married toDardanus.^[1] Pylaemenes led his Paphlagonian forces to theTrojan War, as a Trojan ally. He was killed in battle byMenelaus ofSparta.^[2] His son namedHarpalion was killed by theCretan warriorMeriones, son ofMolus.^[3]Homer provided no parentage for Pylaemenes, but other mythographers named his father asBilsates^[4] orMelius.^[5]
• Pylaemenes, one of theSuitors ofPenelope who came fromDulichium along with other 56 wooers.^[6] He, with the other suitors, was shot dead byOdysseus with the help ofEumaeus,Philoetius, andTelemachus.^[7]
