Pusiga is one of theconstituencies represented in theParliament of Ghana. It elects oneMember of Parliament (MP) by thefirst past the post system of election. Pusiga is located in thePusiga district of theUpper East Region ofGhana. Pusiga is part of the northern part of Ghana.
There was a Pusiga constituency during the First Republic. This became defunct following the military coup in 1966 which banned parliament. The Pusiga constituency was not existent in subsequent parliaments until its recreation in 2004 prior to the 2004 general election.
The seat is located within the Pusiga district in the Upper East Region of Ghana.
This is one of the new constituencies created by theElectoral Commission of Ghana prior to theGhanaian parliamentary andpresidential elections in 2004.
