Provincial Highway 19 (PH 19,Chinese:台19線) is a north–southhighway fromChanghua City inChanghua County toYongkang inTainan City. The highway is known asCentral Highway (中央公路). The highway lies between the coastalPH 17 and the inlandPH 1 which serves many of the major cities in central and southernTaiwan. The total length of the highway is 140.195 kilometres (87.113 mi).[1]
The highway begins at the intersection withPH 1 in downtown Changhua City. After the intersection withFreeway 1, the highway continues south and meetsPH 76 inPuyan,Changhua County,PH 78 inYuanchang,Yunlin County,PH 82 inPuzi,Chiayi County, as well asPH 84 inSyuejia,Tainan City. The highway meets withFreeway 8 inAnding, before ending at the urban district ofYongkang, Tainan City, at the intersection with PH 1.
The highway passes through the following counties and cities:Changhua County,Yunlin County,Chiayi County, andTainan City.
