TheProgressive National Campaign, Nepal (Nepali:प्रगतिशील राष्ट्रिय अभियान, नेपाल) was a political party in Nepal led by formerFinance andHome minister of Nepal,Janardan Sharma.[2][3] The party was joined by former ministersRam Karki,Sudan Kirati and others from theCPN (Maoist Centre). Initially, the party was declared as campaign on 4 November 2025 with a vision to develop new form of Nepali socialism putting forward youths in leadership.[4][5] The party on 14 Noevember announced merger with former Prime MinisterBaburam Bhattrai's partyNepal Socialist Party (Naya Shakti) andSantosh Pariyar led group ofRastriya Swatantra Party to formProgressive Democratic Party.[6]

The campaign database suggest it aims to create a new mainstream leftist force, free from the influence of older leaders who have been involved in the political revolving door of leadership.[7] It seeks to achieve this through mergers and collaboration with progressive and leftist groups, including theNetra Bikram Chand ledCommunist Party Nepal and theGhanashyam Bhusal ledUnified Socialist Reorganization Campaign.[8]
