TheStanley Kramer Award, since its inception in 2002 by theProducers Guild of America and named after film director/producerStanley Kramer, has been given for films that "illuminate provocativesocial issues".^[1]^[2]

Sean Penn,Jane Fonda andRita Moreno (each anAcademy Award winner) are the only three people to receive this award.
