
Six Preludes and Fugues, Op. 35, is a piano composition byFelix Mendelssohn. Combining freshly composedpreludes with several earlier composedfugues, he composed the entire collection in a plan based on alternating minor and major keys (E minor,D major,B minor,A-flat major,F minor,B-flat major). This composition is influenced byWell-Tempered Clavier byJohann Sebastian Bach.[1]
