Potter P. Howard (October 4, 1890 – November 29, 1956) served consecutive two-year terms asmayor ofBoise, Idaho, from 1947 to 1951. An automobile dealer when elected,[3] he was later an executive with the localnatural gas company in Boise. Potter died in aSalt Lake City hotel while returning to Idaho from a business trip toChicago.[4][5]

Potter moved fromBurley toBoise in 1935;[4] he is buried atMorris Hill Cemetery in Boise.
