Pomona is a northerly suburb ofKempton Park, inGauteng province,South Africa.
In the late 20th century Pomona functioned mainly as agricultural small holdings, producing fresh vegetables and fruit.[citation needed]
Since 2015, the area is reportedly rapidly becoming an industrial area with the presence of large warehouses of various international forwarding companies, because of its proximity of 5 km toOR Tambo International Airport on theR21 freeway and the suburb's distance from other residential suburbs of Kempton Park.[2][3]
