Pojan is a village and a former municipality in theKorçë County, southeasternAlbania. At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipalityMaliq.^[1] The population at the 2011 census was 10,864.^[2] The municipal unit consists of the villages Pojan,Zvezdë, Shëngjergj, Kreshpanj,Plasë,Zëmblak, Burimas, Pendavinj, Terovë, Rov, Orman and Rëmbec.^[3]

Mustafa Naili Pasha, (1798–1871) was anOttoman-Albanian statesman, who held the office ofGrand Vizier during the reign ofAbdülmecid I, the first time between 14 May 1853 and 29 May 1854, and the second time between 6 August 1857 and 22 October 1857.
Orhan Pojani, (1846–1913) was a prominent figure involved in theAlbanian National Awakening.
