Podlachians,^[a] also known asPodlachian Masurians,^[b] are anethnographic group ofPolish people that inhabit an area ofPodlachia inPoland, includingPodlaskie andLublin Voivodeships.^[1]

History

They originated fromMazovia and in are descendants ofMasovians who between 13th and 15th century hadcolonised area around theBug river, mixing with the population ofRuthenians already present in the area.^[1]
