Plesiogulo is agenus of prehistoriccarnivore that lived from theMiocene to thePliocene ofAfrica,Eurasia, andNorth America. An ancestral relationship to thewolverine (Gulo gulo) was once suggested, but it is no longer considered likely.[1] However, some authorities still consider it a member of theGuloninae.[2]

P. crassa was ageneralistomnivore, feeding on a variety of small animals while also supplementing its diet with mushrooms and fruits.[3]
