Plecing kangkung is anIndonesian spicywater spinach dish from the island ofBali andLombok. Plecing kangkung is made fromblanched water spinach leaves (Ipomoea aquatica) and served cold withplecingsambal made from ground redchili pepper,shallot,garlic,bird's eye chili,candlenut,kaffir lime,shrimp paste, salt, and sugar.[1] As a side for the Lomboknese dishayam taliwang and Balinese dishayam betutu, plecing kangkung is also usually served with additional ingredients such asbean sprouts,string beans, friedpeanuts, andurap's grated spicycoconut dressing.
