Playhatch (orPlay Hatch) is ahamlet in thecivil parish ofEye & Dunsden inSouth Oxfordshire, England, about 2 miles (3.2 km) northeast ofReading, Berkshire.
Before 1866, Playhatch formed part of theOxfordshire section ofSonningcivil parish.[citation needed]Berry Brook starts close to theRedgrave-Pinsent Rowing Lake to the southwest, running northeast through theRiver Thames floodplain past Playhatch, under the B478 Playhatch Road near theSonning Works, before joining the river atHallsmead Ait.
