Pizzighettone (Pizzighettonese:Pisighitòn) is acomune of theProvince of Cremona in theItalian regionLombardy. The main population centre is located on the riverAdda and is divided into two parts: Pizzighettone on the east bank andGera on the west.

Francis I of France was imprisoned in the tower of Pizzighettone following theBattle of Pavia in 1525.[3] It was the site of theInsubrian town ofAcerrae, and was home to thefootball teamAS Pizzighettone, until the summer 2012 when it moved to city ofCrema and changed its name toU.S. Pergolettese 1932.

SaintVincenzo Grossi was born in Pizzighettone.
