Pita Jordan Ahki (born 24 September 1992) is a professionalrugby union player who plays as acentre forTop 14 clubToulouse. Born in New Zealand, he representsTonga at international level after qualifying onancestry grounds.[1]

Club career

Ahki made his provincial debut in 2011 and ahead of the 2013 season he has made 13 appearances and scored 1 try. His impressiveITM Cup performances have seen him named in theBlues wider training squad for the2013 Super Rugby season.[2] In August 2017 it was announced that Ahki was signed toWaikato for the2017 Mitre 10 Cup season.[3]

On 19 October 2017,Connacht announced the signing of Pita as cover forBundee Aki who is expected to join theIreland team for the 2017 Autumn International Series. No contract length was specified in the announcement.[4] On 3 March 2018, it was announced that Ahki would leave Connacht to join French clubToulouse in theTop 14 from the 2018–19 season.[5]

With Toulouse, he won 3 French Championship titles in2019,2021 and2023, and a European Rugby Champions Cup title in2021.

International career

Ahki played for theTongan under 20s at the2011 IRB Junior World Championship.

Ahki played forNew Zealand Under 20 in the2012 tournament in South Africa.[6]He also representedNew Zealand Sevens between 2012 and 2016, winning a silver medal at the2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.[7]
