Petrus Josephus "Piet" Raijmakers (born 29 September 1956, inAsten) is a formerequestrian from theNetherlands.
Raijmakers won the gold medal in theshow jumping team event at the1992 Summer Olympics inBarcelona, Spain. He did so alongsideJos Lansink,Jan Tops and Bert Romp. In the individual jumping competition Raijmakers claimed the silver medal onRatina Z, behind Germany'sLudger Beerbaum onClassic Touch.
In 2006, Raijmakers won team gold alongsideJeroen Dubbeldam,Gerco Schröder andAlbert Zoer at theWorld Equestrian Games inAachen.[1]
At the World Cup-horse show "Indoor Brabant" in 's-Hertogenbosch (March 2010), he ended his sporting career.[2] His sons, Piet Raijmakers Jr. and Joep Raijmakers, are also active equestrians.
